THE FREE PANE PLANNER
One clear list.
A more useful quote.
Bring your pane details together, keep the questions visible and prepare an enquiry for any supplier. When the specification is confirmed, compare two complete quotes for the same job.
Using the planner is free. Send your enquiry to suppliers for actual prices, then enter their quotes below to compare the complete cost.
Your entries stay in your browser. Use Clear all to remove the current entries, and download your enquiry if you want to keep it.
Worked example — made-up prices. No supplier has quoted these amounts. Use a blank form for your own repair.
01 · BUILD YOUR PANE LIST
What needs replacing?
Record only what you can establish safely. A frame opening and a finished pane are different measurements. Leave order sizes unconfirmed until the supplier or manufacturer has checked them.
Up to 12 different pane lines. Combine quantities only where the pane specification is identical. Dimensions use millimetres; no fitting allowance is calculated.
02 · PREPARE YOUR ENQUIRY
Take your notes to a supplier.
This prepares a text enquiry with your pane list, missing details and questions about the complete order cost. Before sending, add your delivery postcode or say that you want to collect, and attach any photographs.
03 · COMPARE MATCHING QUOTES
Already have supplier quotes?
Enter the prices suppliers have given you. This tool adds and compares your entries; it does not obtain quotes or estimate a price from your pane sizes.
Enter the full price for your entire pane list, not a per-pane price. Include VAT in each amount. Keep a missing charge blank; use zero only when it has been confirmed. Ask the supplier for a final payable amount if a quote excludes VAT.
Include required cutting, shaping, accessories and packaging once, either in the pane total or as extras. Record delivery for your postcode, or the quoted collection charge. Your travel time and costs are separate considerations.
